In
the East, particularly in India, the subject of love -- all aspects
of it -- is typically treated somewhat differently than in the West.
To those in the East, the erotic aspect of love is generally not seen
as sinful, such as many westerners have grown up believing. Instead,
erotic love is seen as one of the two principal, primal pleasures of
life (the other being food), without which there would be no life at
all. This being the case, eros in its various forms is celebrated and
revered as nothing less than divinity, itself. The purpose of this writing
is to help the western reader take a more wholesome, holistic approach
to the subject of love, sexuality and the role that "spiritual yoga"
-- also known as Vedanta -- plays in the process.
