Today, millions
of westerners have made yoga a popular way to relax, stay in shape and
relieve stress. But what few people know is that the stretches, bends
and other asanas of yoga are just the tiny tip of an ancient, universal
spiritual pathway. Now, expand your yoga practice to include the eternal
wisdom of "spiritual yoga" or Neti Yoga. Known as Vedanta in
India, spiritual yoga has little to do with the yoga that has become
so popular in the West. Vedanta imparts knowledge -- the highest knowledge
and wisdom known to humankind.
Although virtually
unknown in the West, Neti Yoga or Vedanta is beyond any religion,
western or eastern. Instead, it is a spiritual science, one whose goal
is to first cleanse the mind through a variety of simple practices,
then to grasp the revelations that arise from following these practices.
As this knowledge becomes fixed and assimilated, one lives the awesome
life of a yogi or yogini, gaining physical and even metaphysical benefits
and powers nearly inconceivable to most people.
This pathway can
be mastered by anyone who feels drawn toward discovering wholeness and
meaning in life. But understandable knowledge of this pathway can be
almost impossible to find for one who is steeped in the traditions of
the West. This is because most masters of yoga-Vedanta are East Indian,
coming from a different culture and encountering language barriers that
go with it.
However our Neti
Yoga program and other publications are all written and produced
by Michael Blate, a long-established American yogi and world
traveler. He has taught and written for Westerners about spiritual yoga
and its practices for nearly three decades. The publications and programs
found here reveal the most remarkable base of timeless knowlege ever
presented to the Western seeker of yoga's awesome wisdom.
